PNOĒ Metabolic Analysis

A guided breathing test that maps how your body makes and burns energy.

The therapy

PNOĒ Metabolic Analysis is one of the most advanced metabolic assessment systems available, providing a detailed picture of how your body produces energy at rest and during exercise.

Using a simple breathing analysis, PNOĒ measures oxygen consumption, carbon dioxide production and respiratory efficiency to reveal how effectively your body burns carbohydrates and fats, utilises oxygen and responds to physical activity. These personalised insights allow us to better understand your metabolism, cardiovascular fitness and energy production, enabling us to create tailored recommendations for exercise, nutrition and recovery that support your individual wellness goals.

PNOĒ Resting Metabolic Assessment

£100Approximately 30 minutes

A guided breathing assessment that reveals how your body produces and burns energy at rest, providing personalised metabolic and nutritional insights.

PNOĒ Resting Metabolic Analysis uses gold standard indirect calorimetry to measure how efficiently your body produces energy while at rest. Through a simple 10 to 15 minute breathing assessment, the system analyses oxygen consumption (VO₂), carbon dioxide production (VCO₂) and respiratory exchange to accurately determine your resting metabolic rate, daily calorie requirements and whether your body primarily burns fat or carbohydrates for fuel. The assessment also evaluates metabolic flexibility, respiratory efficiency and energy expenditure, providing personalised insights that allow us to tailor nutrition, weight management and wellness recommendations specifically to your physiology.

PNOĒ Active Metabolic & Performance Assessment

£150Approximately 60 minutes

A comprehensive exercise-based metabolic assessment that maps how your body uses oxygen and produces energy during physical activity, providing personalised training, performance and recovery recommendations.

PNOĒ Active Metabolic & Performance Analysis combines advanced breath-by-breath gas analysis with a progressive treadmill or cycle assessment to evaluate how your body performs during exercise. Measuring oxygen consumption (VO₂), carbon dioxide production (VCO₂) and ventilation throughout the test, PNOĒ identifies your VO₂ Max, aerobic and anaerobic thresholds, fat-burning zone, heart rate training zones and metabolic efficiency. The assessment provides a comprehensive picture of cardiovascular fitness, exercise economy and fuel utilisation, enabling highly personalised recommendations to improve performance, endurance, recovery and long-term metabolic health.

PNOĒ Complete Metabolic Assessment

£225Approximately 90 minutes

Our most comprehensive metabolic assessment, combining the resting and active tests in a single visit.

PNOĒ Complete Metabolic Analysis brings the resting and active assessments together in one visit, measuring how your body produces and burns energy at rest and then mapping how it performs under progressive exercise. The combined picture covers resting metabolic rate, daily calorie requirements, fuel utilisation, VO₂ Max, aerobic and anaerobic thresholds, fat-burning zone and heart rate training zones, giving the most complete view of your metabolism we offer.
